As you may have heard, Deacon Gene had the incredible opportunity to travel to Uganda in January with Catholic Relief Services. From flying in a small puddle jumper plane and partaking in the region’s tribal music and dance to meeting fair trade coffee farmers and visiting the world’s largest refugee settlement, he had quite the adventure!
From 7-8 pm on March 21 in the Emmaus Room, Deacon Gene will share his Ugandan story accompanied by a photo slideshow and talk about the impactful work CRS is doing to create positive, long-lasting structural change in Uganda and throughout the world. He will also discuss ways that you can help further the mission of CRS through efforts like the Rice Bowl and more. All are invited to attend. This is a great chance to discover powerful ways to focus on almsgiving, one of the pillars of Lent.
If you cannot make it on March 21, Deacon Gene will have another presentation on Monday, April 8 from 7-8 pm in the Emmaus Room.
