Counseling Individuals, Couples, and Families

As we journey together in community there are times when counseling services are found to be both beneficial and necessary. We at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church feel strongly about offering support and encouragement to our parishioners wherever there is a need. Family Life Ministry was established with its main focus as providing Family Life Counseling. We pray that you find comfort in knowing you and or your family members can find refuge in the counseling services provided by our in house counselor Lori Mulady Burdick, MA, LPC.

Lori Mulady Burdick, MA, LPC. received her undergraduate education in Psychology and Child Development from the University of Texas in Austin and her graduate education in Counseling Mental Health and Substance Abuse from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds over eighteen years experience working in the Mental Health field with children, adolescents, adults, groups and families. Both counseling and ministry are strong passions in her life and she reports feeling blessed to be able to serve the parish of St. Francis of Assisi in both venues.

Fee Schedule

Counseling fees are based on the principle that counseling services are available to all persons in the St. Francis of Assisi community irrespective of age, sex, and financial circumstances and that those who are financially able will contribute toward meeting the costs of the professional services provided them.

The counseling fee is computed from the gross family income and the number of non-income dependents in the family. Catastrophic and other extraordinary expenses and circumstances are noted in determining the amount payable. This fee is contracted at the initial interview and is payable to the counselor at the end of each counseling session. Checks are acceptable and are to be made out to the St. Francis of Assisi Family Life Ministry. Receipts will be issued for cash payments. Cancelled checks and/or receipts are encouraged to be kept for insurance and recording purposes.

Methods of Payment:
Fees are ordinarily payable at the end of each session by cash or check. Checks may be made payable to the St. Francis of Assisi Family Life Ministry.

Out of Office Visits Fee:
$200 per 50 minutes plus expenses
