This Thanksgiving the Pilgrim’s Pantry Ministry will once again be serving a hot, freshly cooked Thanksgiving dinner consisting of turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, cornbread dressing, homemade dinner rolls, pumpkin pie, and apple cobbler. Pilgrim’s Pantry is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that is governed by some of our parishioners. Last year, with your generous contributions of time, talent, and treasure we served approximately 850 meals. This year, we will be serving at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, and several other locations. We hope to serve 1000 meals or more. We will also be utilizing a commercial kitchen November 20-22 to cook for Thanksgiving Day, so we need lots of help! We have an online sign up this year, and it can be accessed on our website at www.PilgrimsPantry.org.
If you can assist us in the commercial kitchen on one of the three days (November 20-22), you will need to have a food handler’s certificate. The cost is only $7.00, and the 2-hour course can be obtained online at
If you have any questions, please call Mary Alice or Mike Ezzell at 210.544.5759, or members of this Ministry will be available after all Masses this weekend. Thank you for your generosity!
