Most Americans have social media accounts; some spend upwards of six hours on these sites. Heavy social media use has been tied to depression, anxiety, and loneliness. On the other hand, individuals enjoy using social media to connect with loved ones and obtain support when they need it. This workshop explores what mindfulness looks like in the digital age and provides strategies for creating healthy social media use practices.
