WHERE:  St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4201 De Zavala Rd., San Antonio, TX 

WHATThe Sultan and The Saint: An Interfaith Gathering – Join us for an interfaith evening of film, meeting new friends, sharing food and conversation.

WHY:  Presented to honor and commemorate the 800-year anniversary of the interfaith dialogue between Francis of Assisi and Sultan Malik al-Kamil during a time of intense conflict, the Crusades. Their example is an invitation to join in respectful dialogue with people of different faiths and cultures.

Also, to recognize and share the Document of Fraternity for Humanity for World Peace and Living Together. This joint Document authored by His Holiness Pope Francis and The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Tayyeb at Abu Dhabi on February 4, 2019, places particular emphasis on the important role of religions in constructing world peace.

Cost: Free and open to the public. Donations to offset costs for the evening are appreciated. Space is limited; a ticket is required. Register at the following link:
