American Sign Language

American Sign Language is offered to hearing-impaired Mass participants at 11:15 am on Sundays. Classes are also offered for those wishing to learn ASL. Hearing aid devices connected electronically to the church sound system are available for those with hearing disabilities.

Career Transformation

Career Transformation helps individuals, who are unemployed, underemployed or unhappily employed, to reflect prayerfully on their situation and develop skills for moving into a new and better situation. Email ctm@sfasat.org to join.

Child Care

Child care is provided at our Saturday 5 pm and Sunday 8:30 am, 11:15 am, and 5 pm Masses and offered for some parish functions at St. Francis of Assisi. Parents must request child care in advance for other parish events outside of these Mass times.

Counseling

Professional counseling for individuals, couples, and families is available; please call the office for information about these programs.

Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration in the Blessed Sacrament chapel allows individuals to deepen their relationship with Jesus by spending time in contemplation and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. The chapel is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, Sunday through Friday.

Financial Peace University

Financial Peace University seminars, offered to parishioners several times a year, introduce techniques for debt-free living and offer advice to promote a financially responsible lifestyle.

Kid’s Day Out

The Kid’s Day Out program is designed and dedicated to meet the needs of the parent as well as the children of the St. Francis of Assisi community between the ages of 1 and 5 years old.

Library

Our Library lends books and videos to parishioners for personal study and reflection. Volunteers are needed to staff the library. Located in the Sophia Room in the Religious Education Building, library is open during regular church office hours and when faith formation classes are in session.

Prayer Labyrinth

Our Prayer Labyrinth, located behind the San Damiano building, provides an outdoor sacred space for quiet prayer and reflection. It is patterned after the design found in France’s Chartres Cathedral.

Quilting Piece-makers Group

Parishioners are able to meet and sew quilts while sharing faith, friendship, and commonalities.

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual Direction is provided by trained parishioners and pastoral staff, to assist those who seek to deepen their relationship with God.
