Robert Allen Inkman

A funeral mass will occur 11:30 am Friday, February 7, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi. A private entombment will be held at a later time.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Inkman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 94.

Bob was born on April 26, 1930, and was the devoted husband of Carol Inkman for 67 years. Together, they created a life rich in love, family, and shared memories.

He was the proud father of Kathy Kemp (David), Debbie Olander (David), and Michael Inkman (Laura), and a cherished grandfather to Ryan Kemp (Lauren), Robyn Justice (Kevin), Lauren and Hayden Olander, Katelyn, Caroline, Kristen and Will Inkman. Bob was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Jax and Kase Justice and Hadley and Owen Kemp. Bob is also survived by his sister, Mary Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Bob served his country for four years, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and pride.

Throughout his life, Bob’s love for mechanics was evident. In his younger years, he enjoyed tinkering with and racing motorcycles. His ability to fix just about anything was a skill that served him well, both personally and professionally. After 37 years at General Motors, Bob retired, but he continued to approach life with the same enthusiasm and practicality.

In his retirement, Bob enjoyed playing golf and working at his favorite course. He began to embrace technology, soon becoming an avid user, often researching topics of interest, staying up to date on news and politics, and sending thoughtful emails to his family with insights and advice. He was meticulous about keeping records and took pride in staying organized and informed.

A man of deep, private faith, Bob was a long-time parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. His faith was a guiding force in his life, providing him with strength, peace, and purpose. While he rarely spoke about it openly, those who knew him well understood the depth of his spiritual life and the way it shaped his character and actions.

Bob’s quiet wisdom, dry sense of humor, and steadfast love for his family will be deeply missed. His legacy of love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund. Bob’s memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire those he left behind.
