Linsey Serwer | Elementary Faith Formation

Linsey is the Elementary Faith Formation Coordinator.  As such, she is responsible for recruiting and coordinating a team of volunteer catechists who share the faith with children in kindergarten through fifth grade. She provides training on grade-level appropriate lessons, assists catechists in developing engaging material, and overseeing the weekly classes on Sundays and Tuesdays, as well as Children’s Liturgy.   Linsey also plans and presents the yearly Vacation Bible School in June.

Linsey graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of the Arts in Music Therapy, and has spent the last 17 years practicing music therapy in Waco and San Antonio.  Her primary population includes school-age children with a wide variety of special needs, and she has a special place in her heart for these wonderful individuals and their families.  Linsey has also spent the majority of her life involved in scouting programs, and is currently Cubmaster of her son’s pack.   Linsey loves to learn and teach, especially about our faith, and is looking forward to sharing the Good News with our parish’s children and families.

Linsey is married to her husband, Zach, and they have one son, Gabriel, who also loves spending time at St. Francis.  When they are not here, you can find them scouting, hiking, swimming, spending time with their dogs, or reading at home.
